The Appeal to Reason Tour is a concert tour by the punk band Rise Against, which runs between 2008-2010, to support their fifth studio album Appeal to Reason .
The tour begins with a series of pre-release summer events, including European festival performances and some Vans Warped Tour dates in North America. The show was performed when the band finished recording the album. The main support tour started in early October with the release of the album.
In the first official leg of the album promotion Appeal to Reason, the band was supported by Alkaline Trio, Thrice and The Gaslight Anthem through all US (with some Canadian dates), followed by a series of Canadian dates in December, supported by Thursday and Sage Francis. The band then started the Australian leg in early 2009, followed by European legs, supported by Strike Anywhere and Rentokill, with all British dates backed by Anti-Flag and Flobots (except for the last two, where The King Blues replaces Anti-Flag ). The band then returned to Australia, supported by Noise Conspiracy (International), and then embarked on a brief Japanese tour, with a summer tour of North America. The first is supported by Rancid and Riverboat Gamblers, with the second part supported by Billy Talent and Rancid. The band then returned for other European legs, playing mainly festivals in the summer, with winter headlining legs, backed by Thursday and Poison the Well.
