Do not Believe B ---- in Apartment 23 is an American television sitcom created by Nahnatchka Khan and starring Krysten Ritter aired on ABC for two seasons from 11 April, 2012 to January 15, 2013. Originally aired in lieu of midseason, ABC renewed the series for the second season with some episodes of its first season airing as part of the second, regardless of continuity. The series starred in Ritter as Chloe, an irresponsible party girl who seeks roommates by asking for a down payment and then acts outrageously until they leave. His new roommate, June Colburn (Dreama Walker), however, proved more difficult to oust, and the women eventually formed an unlikely friendship. James Van Der Beek co-starred as a fictional version of himself, one of Chloe's friends who is desperate to revive her acting career. Liza Lapira, Michael Blaiklock, Eric Andre, and Ray Ford lead the supporting cast.
The series was originally under development to air on Fox in 2009, but was eventually given a green light and was taken by ABC in 2011. Although it was the subject of positive reviews from television critics, Do not Believe B-- - in Apartment 23 fought significantly in the rankings and was aborted by ABC in January 2013. The network then erased the series from its program immediately, leaving 8 episodes of the second season uncivilized. While the series is rumored to be returning the following summer to burn the remaining episodes, ABC chose instead to make the last 8 episodes available for streaming on their official website as well as in iTunes and Hulu. While the remaining episodes are not broadcast on ABC, they are broadcast in the Arena in Australia from March 25 to May 13, 2013. TV Logo then obtained the rights to Do not Believe B ---- at Apartment 23 in the United States, and broadcast the remaining episodes from 19 July to 6 September 2014.

Development and production
The series was originally titled Do not Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23 and was developed on Fox as a competitor in fall 2009, but ultimately continued. In January 2011, ABC rekindled the production of pilot episodes. In February and March 2011, Dreama Walker, Krysten Ritter, and James Van Der Beek were casted as three leads. On May 13, 2011, ABC took the project for the series under the short title Apartment 23 . A few days later, ABC announced that the show is likely to debut in mid 2011-12 season.
On October 11, 2011, ABC re-renamed the show, this time being a starred version of its original name, censoring the word "Whore" and replaced with "B ----".
The first two episodes were made available on iTunes, Hulu, ABC.com, and at Xfinity in the United States before the premiere on April 11, 2012. In Canada, the first episode was made available on Rogers on Demand and at Citytv.com, also before the premiere of April 11 2012. On May 11, 2012, Do not Believe B ---- in Apartment 23 updated for the second season, with six remaining episodes of the season being aired as part of it. The second season aired on October 23, 2012.
On May 11, 2012, ABC updated Do not Believe B ---- in Apartment 23 for the second season. The remaining six episodes of season one (with production codes starting from 1A in the chart) aired as part of season two bringing the total to 19 episodes for the season. ABC was selected to broadcast these episodes irregularly, interspersed the first and second episodes without regard to continuity. As a result, several multi-episode storylines (especially James's appearance on Dancing with the Stars and June's work on new jobs outside the coffee shop) are almost incomprehensible in the original compositions.
Ray Ford, who plays Luther, is promoted to the regular series for season two. Liza Lapira was originally announced to have been relegated to a recurring role; eventually he appeared in just one episode ("Dating Game...") that was produced for the second season.
Although the star of the Krysten Ritter series initially stated in February 2013 that ABC is committed to airing eight unpublished episodes in the summer of 2013, it was later confirmed that the show would not return to ABC's schedule but that all eight episodes would be available on ABC.com , iTunes and Hulu starting May 17, 2013. Additional episodes have been removed from Hulu, without notice. It was then announced that the episode would air on the TV Network Logo in July 2014.
ABC announced on January 22, 2013, that he deleted Do not Trust the B ---- in Apartment 23 from his immediate schedule. The next day, the performers confirmed their cancellation. On April 18, 2013, ABC announced that the remaining eight unpublished episodes will be streamed online from May 17 and ending June 2.
In July 2014, it was announced that TV Logo had acquired a full series of series - including eight previously unappropriated episodes in the United States - and would broadcast it in the correct order starting July 19th.
A total of 26 episodes have been produced for two seasons.

In June 2011, Apartment 23 , as it was called at the time, was one of eight honors in the category of Most Exciting New Series at the Television Critics Awards, voted by journalists who had see pilot. The series received positive reviews from critics, with many critics praising Ritter for his performance in what could be called his first "lead role". The first season scored 71 on Metacritic based on 29 critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, the first season holds 91% and the second season has a score of 75%. The consensus of the site states: "A few strange sitcoms with a modern twist, Do not Believe B ---- in Apartment 23 is slimmer and smarter than expected, thanks to strong acting and keen dialogue."
