In an interview with Rolling Stone , Snoop Dogg explains the title of EP, by stating
It's not a statement or political action: it's just good music. Certain people feel like we have to make America 'great again,' but the time they mean always brings me back to segregation and separation so I'd rather Make America Crip Again. In my lifetime, that's when young blacks in poor areas are organized to help their communities and take care of their own communities because basically people leave them to die. Many people glorify gangs and violence but forget that initially, the main purpose and the only Crips is to be a reflection of the Black Panthers. They nurture children, provide after-school activities, feed them and enter as role models and father figures.
