Jason White (born November 11, 1973) is an American musician, best known as the current guitarist for American punk rock band Green Day. He has been a member of Green Day's tour since 1999. However, in 2012, he was promoted to an official member of the band before dropping him off to become a guitarist on tour in 2016. He is also a guitarist/vocalist for the punk band California Pinhead Gunpowder, lead guitarist/lead vocalist for California, and co-founder of Adeline Records with Billie Joe Armstrong.
By the end of 2014, he was diagnosed with tonsillitis, which has since been treated.

In the summer of 1992, White filled out guitar tasks at the last minute for the Bay Area Monsula punk band, who performed at Little Rock, AR Vino's club. After the show, Jason toured as a guitarist for the band and eventually moved to the Bay Area after the breakup of Chino Horde in the summer of 1993. White joined Big Cats in 1996, after bassist Josh Bentley's temporary departure, and took over guitar duties in 2000 after the death of guitarist Shannon Yarbrough. This group is a side project of many musicians, playing very rarely. Their latest record, On Tomorrow , was released in 2007.
Due to a Pinhead Gunpowder hoax for sporadic gatherings, White and Gunpowder bassist Bill Schneider began looking to form another band that would be a focus group on both groups. After recruiting Schneider's brother, Greg Schneider to join and eventually convince Willie Samuels to play the drums, The Influents was formed. White and Greg will be the band's focus, divide the songwriting task, as well as the singing time. Bill Schneider left the band well after the group's first album Check Please to focus on his drum store and was soon replaced by Johnnie Wentz. The new formation immediately records follow-up, Mostly Young , and goes on tour.
In 2006, Jason recorded the cover of the Substitute "Torture" for a compilation of Replacements Cover, "We will Inherit the Earth". She is also featured in a May 2007 release,
As a punk rock friend of Green Day trio, he appeared on the video "When I Come Around", where he was seen kissing a girl (real life boyfriend at the time). In 1994, White joined the Pinhead Gunpowder punk quartet after the departure of singer/guitarist Sarah Kirsch (with whom White had played the previous year in Sixteen Bullets). When lead singer Green Day/Pinhead Gunpowder Billie Joe Armstrong founded Adeline Records in 1997, White helped him run it. He reappeared with Armstrong during two Green Day performances in 1999, both collecting money for the School Benefit Bridge.
With the release of American Idiot , White was asked again to play with the band during the album's supporting tour. In February 2005, Jason married. That year, he played with Green Day on their video, "Wake Me Up When September Ends" - the first time any musician outside the trio appears as a player in the Green Day video. She also appeared along the band in their live CD/DVD 2005 Bullet in a Bible . In April 2007, White and his wife joined Armstrong and his family in Spring Break they worked with Habitat For Humanity and wrote a diary for the GreenDay.net fan site.
In 2008, White joined the Green Day side project of Foxboro Hot Tubs as lead guitarist along with Kevin Preston from Prima Donna on rhythm guitar. In 2009, he toured with Green Day to support their latest record, 21st Century Breakdown . White made her fourth appearance in Green Day's video for "21 Guns" and the fifth in "Last of the American Girls"; Prior to this, and excluding his direct appearances in "Jesus of Suburbia" and "East Jesus Nowhere", he has appeared in three videos: "When I Come Around", "Wake Me When September Ends", and "Heroes Working Class".
On July 13, 2010, Max Recordings released their debut 45 singles - "Hungover" b/w "I'm a Mess". She appeared once again as a sideman of Green Day for their 2011 live album Awesome As Fuck . White is credited with the contribution of "Guitar" in the press release of ninth, tenth, and eleventh studio album Green Day <Ã> Ã,áUno! , Ã,áDos! , and Ã,áTrÃÆ'à © ©! In addition, she appeared in the photo with the band. It was announced that White would be appearing on the cover of the soundtrack for a documentary about the making of a trilogy called Ã,áCuatro! . Despite promotion to regular band members, he was not inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2016, White returned to his role as a Green Day tour member and the band recorded their twelfth studio album Revolution Radio as their third classic lineup.

Personal life
In January 2013, Jason Janna White's wife (nÃÆ' à © e Rollins) gave birth to their first child, Sonny. Their second child, a baby girl named Shelby, was born in May 2014. Jason has a small flower tattoo on his right hand, roughly parallel to his wrist and gets a tattoo after marrying his wife, Janna.
Health
White is diagnosed with tonsill cancer by the end of 2014. Since her tonsils have been removed, she has been cancer free for three years.
