The Joliet Slammers is a professional baseball team based in Joliet, Illinois, who plays in an independent Frontier League. They play their home game at Joliet Route 66 Stadium. They replaced JackHammers Joliet from the North League after the franchise was paralyzed by various financial problems. JackHammers franchisees are put up for sale and Steel City Baseball LLC buys all assets, including front office, ticketing systems, and average rentals. The company behind the popular card game Card Against Humanity announced in December 2017 that they had purchased naming rights to the stadium, calling it "The Baseball Hall on Humanity", but the company's claims have been disputed by Slammers management.

The name "Slammers" refers to the prison Joliet and Will County (Joliet Correctional Center and Stateville Correctional Center) as well as common baseball terms.

On September 18, 2011, the Slammers were crowned Frontier League champions after defeating River City Rascals, 6-5 at Joliet, taking the best of the five Frontier League Championship Series three games into one.

After the 2012 season, Slammers was bought on October 15, 2012 by Joliet Community Baseball & amp; Entertainment, LLC. Team names, stadiums, leagues and overall branding remain the same.
