Shrek
In the first film of the series, Fiona first appeared as the bride chosen by Lord Farquaad as part of her plan to become king. He meets Donkey and Shrek, and at first the group has feelings of hatred towards each other. However, the tension begins to fade gradually and Shrek and Fiona begin to develop a close relationship and fall in love. One night, the Donkey learned that because of the magical spells that had been cast in previous years, Fiona turned into ogress every night, but in the morning returned to the form of an ordinary human being. Shrek overhears part of the conversation, and believes that Fiona thinks it is too bad for her, guiding her and Fiona to enter into the misunderstanding that Shrek follows with Lord Farqua to get Fiona. Shrek and Donkey interrupt Fiona's wedding ceremony and prevent him from kissing Lord Farquaad, who later realizes that Shrek fell in love with Fiona and mocked him loudly. As the sun sets, Fiona turns into a giant, and a vicious Lord Farqua orders Fiona to be detained and Shrek kills even though she is almost immediately eaten by a dragon. Shrek and Fiona expressed their love and they kissed, which broke Fiona's curse, though she is now permanently ogress. At the end of the film, Shrek marries Fiona.
Shrek 2
In Shrek 2 , Princess Fiona tries to convince Shrek to meet her parents in the kingdom of Far Far Away (parody of Hollywood). While there, the Fairy Mother, who had locked her in the tower to begin, still believes she is cursed. When Fairy Godmother discovers that Fiona is actually married to an ogre, Fairy Godmother plans to kill Shrek and replace her with her son, Prince Charming. It turns out the original plan was for Prince Charming, not Shrek, to save Fiona and marry her, the way the King avenged the Fairy Godmother for the good he had done while in a relationship with Fiona's mother. Fiona briefly returns to the human form of the first film after Shrek drinks the "Happily Ever After" potion, which makes the drinker and his true love become prettier. However, to make a permanent change, Fiona must kiss her true love at midnight, making the Fairy Lady to force King Harold to give her daughter a love potion to fall in love with Prince Charming. His plan ultimately failed when Harold, after seeing how much Fiona insulted Charming, decided not to give him the potion. When Shrek tries to kiss Fiona so that both of them can remain human, he tells her that he wants to live happily ever after with her married gre . They then returned to being giants, and Donkey (who had turned into a white horse) turned back into a donkey.
Shrek the Third
In Shrek the Third , Princess Fiona becomes the acting Queen Far Far, Far Away while her father is sick. When the latter died, Shrek sets out to find his cousin, Arthur Pendragon (or Artie). She tells him that she is pregnant (something she has hinted at since the beginning of the film). While he was bathing the baby, Prince Charming invaded him so he could proclaim himself king of Far Far Away. Fiona arranges resistance with her friends Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Doris the Ugly Stepsister, but Rapunzel betrays them to marry Prince Charming. Thanks to his mother's fighting abilities, they escaped from prison, and the other daughters "broke free" and became more independent. Artie makes a speech to convince the criminals to go straight. In the end, Fiona gave birth to a triple ogre with Shrek at her side, and two ogre being parents.
Shrek Forever After
During the party's third birthday party, Fiona sees Shrek getting riled and ends up losing his temper by destroying one of the birthday cakes. Outside Fiona confronts him about his explosion. Shrek replies that he is sick for not respecting his privacy and that he wants everything as "back to the original state... when the world makes sense". When Fiona asks him if he means before he rescues her, Shrek cruelly confirms his fear. Fiona is shocked and upset with Shrek's actions, she tells him that she has everything she wants: "three beautiful children", a "wife who loves [her]" and "a friend who adores her [him]". He returned to the party, disappointed at him.
When Shrek made a deal with Rumpelstiltskin, for one day he was taken to a universe where he was never born. Here, Rumpel has seized power by deceiving Fiona's parents from ruling the Far Far Away kingdom. Fiona remained under the witch's curse of the first film and later became the leader of the Ogre resistance group. Shrek initially believed that the relationship between him and Fiona was still there but when he did not even recognize him, he finally fully accepted that reality, he was in, not hers and that Stiltskin had completely changed the reality to be as if he had not existed until now. Fiona proved still kind and caring but very cynical and disappointed about the power of true love, because she was never saved from the tower. She starts falling in love with him again when she starts practicing with her, but still does not kiss her (since it's just starting to find her fun). But Fiona's attitude towards Shrek changes as she and the other ogres go to defeat Rumpelstiltskin once and for all. During the day, Shrek realizes that the gap will negate the deal if he can receive True Love kisses from Fiona. After a failed attempt, they realize that he has succeeded when Fiona's curse has been violated. The timeline returns to normal, and Shrek returns to his children's birthday party before he criticizes everyone and warmly welcomes Fiona. The timeline change also returned the seemingly disappearing Ogres in the first 3 shrek movies through unknown reasons
This is the only film in which Fiona bowed her hair. She also revealed she always wanted to have a daughter named Felicia. We also learned that the sons of Shrek and Fiona are Fergus and Farkle.

Shrek (in the theater)
Fiona appeared on stage a musical version of the 2001 film which debuted in 2008 and closed in 2010. She was portrayed by Broadway actress Sutton Foster, who earned Tony's nomination for the role.
In the musical, it was revealed that when Fiona was seven years old, she was sent to the tower to wait for the noble prince who would save her. His only company is some old dolls and all he does is reread the fairy tale of the princess in the same situation (Rapunzel, Snow White, etc.) And learn about the right princess ethic. Fiona waited 23 years (8,423 days), growing into a strong, passionate and beautiful young woman. When Shrek finally comes to save him, he tries to make him portray the scene he always imagined to be when his prince will come, though he eventually has to drag him away to escape the dragon and his bones. Fiona is very excited that she is finally free, although at first confused why the champion refused to give her "True Love's First Kiss". He is shocked and angry when Shrek reveals himself as a giant, but goes to the nearest cave when the sun goes down. During the closing song "Who I'll Be", he overhears the conversation Shrek and Donkey and is moved. He stands apart from them, alone in the moonlight, in ogress.
In the Second Round, he wakes up bright and early in the morning to welcome the day in the show stopper "Morning Person". His singing inadvertently bluebirds exploded and he accidentally tossed a deer off the cliff, but when he helped a Pied Piper with his duties, dancing dances into a number of complete taps, complete with Fiona who changed her dress into an interesting dance outfit. and lead them. Shrek and Donkey walk at the end, startled by what they see. Fiona apologizes for her behavior, but she and Shrek start duel over childhood who is worse (Here Fiona reveals that she was sent away on Christmas Eve, infuriated Shrek, who thought she beat her when she said she was kicked out on her birthday the seventh). After realizing that they were both left in the hands of their parents, they started a bond, which was sealed in a burp and fart contest between the two of them.
Upon reaching Duloc, Fiona is reluctant to finally leave her friends and share the last fire dinner with Shrek, who does not want her to leave. When the sun sets again, he hides in the closest barn and Donkey finds him in giant form. He tells the story of his curse and tells him not to tell Shrek, because he believes no one can love him when he looks like a terrible animal. However, Shrek is out to tell her that he loves her when he hears the conversation and thinks he is referring to her. The next morning, Fiona decides to tell Shrek, but she has brought Lord Farqua to him. He was rather unimpressed with his small stature and selfishness, but accepted his proposal and convinced him to move the wedding before sunset.
In a song that originally in the Seattle preview but was removed when it was brought to Broadway, Fiona prepared her wedding but was not happy because she had found the end of a fairy tale not really what she wanted. Before he and Farquaad can share a kiss, Shrek interrupts the marriage and is mocked by Farqua when he tries to tell her that he loves her. Trapped between true love and breaking spells, Fiona tries to escape but is stopped by a bunch of fairytale creatures that Farquaad once banished from the kingdom. Afterwards it was revealed that Farquaad was a "half" (half human/half dwarf) sunset and Fiona changed amid confusion. Shrek, though initially surprised, accepted the change, though Farquaad was furious and drove him back to the tower when he declared himself a new king. The dragon falls through the window, swallows Farquaad, and Shrek and Fiona kiss. Fiona undergoes a magical transformation into a... an ogress. She is surprised that "True Love's Form" is not as beautiful as she thinks, but Shrek still thinks she's pretty. Everyone celebrates and lives happily ever after.
Haven Burton, who understands the role on Broadway, plays it on a North American tour. Amanda Holden started her role in the West End until she was replaced by Kimberley Walsh and then Carley Stenson.
Personality
Princess Fiona was originally portrayed as the princess of a fairy tale, speaking formally in dating and showing high hopes about how she should be saved, who saved her, and so on. He seems to emit air of cheerfulness and even arrogance to some degree (but this proves purely of his concern for breaking his curse, which embarrasses him). Then, the real self of Princess Fiona arises, for she is really a very grounded and independent woman who fits or even better than Shrek when she comes to her own habits. He is a loyal friend, and unlike a fairy-tale princess, an expert in hand-to-hand combat with knowledge of martial arts. He also has very bad behavior (like Shrek), because he is an ogre. However, he is much more polite when in front of his parents.
Fiona also has a special talent. For example, in addition to martial arts skills, he was able to sing so high that the birds exploded. Fiona is much more patient and kinder to Donkey than Shrek. She is proven to be a loving wife and mother. However, in Shrek Forever After, he alternately proved aggressive, single-minded and pushed on time.
This "new" Fiona proved to arrive at this point after being disappointed that Shrek never came to save her. Bitter and angry, he proved still passionate and fiery but not as soft and sweet as in other films; But these traits have not completely faded.
Fiona is very knowledgeable, and she also has the skills to gather others; this is shown in Shrek 3 , when his speech encouraged princesses to get out of the dungeon.
More information
The initial storyboard of the alternative opening shows that he was originally born to the human parent who was the master of Duloc. They told him to be locked in the tower under the lie that he was "very pretty" he was kidnapped. They died, and the kingdom was under the control of "an ambitious bupati" - implied Farquaad. When he 'becomes aged' to ascend the throne he runs away from the tower and meets a wizard named Bib Fortuna (a reference to Star Wars a character of the same name) - who has told the whole sequence through his tarot cards.
He gave Fiona a potion that would make her beautiful; But the herb has no effect. But Fortuna warns that his potion has side effects - he will change between his human form and ogressnya until he finds his true love. Then he was taken away by the dragon guard and returned to the tower.
An actress appointed to voice it on Shrek is Janeane Garofalo, who is set to star alongside Chris Farley. However, he was fired from the project with little explanation. In June 2007, Garofalo stated: "I was never told why [I was fired] I assume because I sound like a man sometimes? I do not know why. Nobody told me... But, you know, it does not do anything, so who cares? ". Princess Fiona also performed a naming ceremony for Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas on November 28, 2010.
Reception
Time magazine Richard Schickel calls Fiona "a remarkable character," drawing particular attention to his fight with Robin Hood and Merry Men. Schickel continued, "He is not what he looks like." Kelly Vance from East Bay Express wrote, "Princess Fiona is more charming, more vulnerable, more powerful, and even more sensitive than if she was played by a human actress." Robert Sims of Hollywood.com jokingly wrote, "Princess Fiona can teach Charlie's Angels one or two lessons in romance and survival skills."
