Justin's is an American brand of natural and organic peanut butter and peanut butter cups. Boulder-based company produces and markets jars and butter bean packages, along with various types of organic peanut butter cups. Justin's peanut butter cup is a USDA certified organic and uses Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa. Both cups of peanut butter and peanut butter are distributed through stores such as Whole Foods Market, Starbucks, and Target in the United States.

History
The company was founded in 2004 by Justin Gold, a 2000 graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Justin majored in environmental studies, in Dickinson, before moving to Colorado in 2002. Gold is a vegetarian and is active outdoors as he begins to make butter jam for himself to meet his protein needs and encourage his adventures. After many times his roommate ate his protein creations, Gold decided he had to sell his nut butter and started selling at Boulder Farmers' Market followed by Whole Foods Market agreed to store the product. Gold initially raises the capital of friends and family and officially launches Justin, named after the label he used to put in the bean jar he made for himself and his roommate.
In 2006, Justin introduced a "portable" squeeze package and was the first peanut butter brand to market a single service blackmail package. Since then Justin has also introduced an organic peanut butter cup, milk and white chocolate, as well as some other flavors of jam, including chocolate hazelnut butter and maple almond butter. In 2011, Progressive Grocer trade magazine called Justin peanut butter cup as one of the best roll-outs of 2011.
In 2012, Justin sold 25 million packs of squeeze and 1.6 million peanut butter jars. Its revenue growth places the 5000 list of the fastest growing companies in the country.
By 2014, the company has 30 employees and generates a three-digit growth with seven flavors of peanut butter and three types of peanut butter cups.
In 2016 the company publishes its own cookbook titled Justin My Kitchen containing more than 50 recipes using Justin's products.
In May 2016, Justin was sold to Hormel for $ 286 million.

Justin is a founding member of the Whole Foods Microloan-a-Month program, a foundation founded by Whole Foods that supports microfinance institutions around the world. Justin lends a micro-month loan to an entrepreneur in a developing country.
Justin has also partnered with Sadar Alliance to promote awareness of the problem of severe hunger and participate in the company's annual journey to volunteer at Pine Ridge Indian Reserves in South Dakota to help support hunger relief efforts.
