" The Game " is a song by Thely Star contestant Alyssa Reid from her 2011 album The Game. It is the title track of the album and the album's second single, as well as the second most famous single Alyssa, which was defeated by the previous single "Alone Again", which was officially released on May 31, 2011. It was preceded by the album's main single, "Alone Again", featuring P. Reign, who took many samples of the 1987 Heart "Alone" song, excluding new verses and rap. "The Game" takes a sample of parts of the new verses "Alone Again".
A radio edit was made of the song, which replaced parts taken from "Alone Again" and replaced them with original original material. A remix was made of the song, featuring JDiggz, and in parts where Reid sang his version, the radio edit of the song was sampled. This song is known by fans as "want to be in the movie for the Hunger Games bestseller." In 2012 a new single version is made for the UK market and featuring rap vocals from Snoop Dogg.

Composition
"The Game" was written by Jamie Appleby and Alyssa Reid. This very sample of pre-choral choir "Alone Again" in the one verse has almost identical lyrics to the pre-chorus "Alone Again" ( When you [I] say I can go on and leave, you say I am 'Weak and it shows I can continue without you, now I [you] sit in [your] home alone, wondering why I left home, and I hope you know that ), but in different keys, and two have different lyrics, and different keys as well. "The Game" is heavily influenced by the high C minor chord pianos, on the 4/4 time mark and beats about 80 BPM. This song is a cheery dance song, and a follow-up to "Alone Again", as it says on its website. The difference between "Alone Again" and "The Game" is that while "Alone Again" is a softer and more vulnerable Alyssa side, "The Game" is much more than a self-confident song that celebrates individuality and emotional strength. " Everyone who knows me knows that I'm alone, that's all part of the game. " (from the biography section of Alyssa Reid's official website). Clearly, however, "Alone Again" and "The Game" have their similarities.

Remixes
There are two official remixes of "The Game". One is to edit the radio, with new verses excluding parts of the sample from "Own Again". It was released August 9, 2011 to worldwide radio stations and iTunes Store.
The second remix featured JDiggz and was released to iTunes Store on October 24, 2011. It also replaced the verses taken from "Alone Again" with a new poem of the radio edit. Editing radio achieved little success through radio stations, JDiggz remixes achieved little success through iTunes downloads, however, none of them approached the original Top 40 song.
After a sudden success in England, he attracted the attention of Snoop Dogg who later agreed to perform in the next British single, the new version of "The Game". It was released on August 31, 2012. Although this version shares the same name with the album version of "The Game", it contains new melodies, new settings and rap verses by Snoop Dogg.
Music video
The official music video for this song was released to YouTube on August 2, 2011 and released to iTunes Store on September 13, 2011.
Synopsis
The video begins with Reid sitting in a crowd, mostly in dark colors. The words "Alyssa Reid", "The Game", and "Directed by Marc Andre Debruyne" appear and disappear quickly before the song begins. Then he stood up and began to sing. Occasionally, there was a scene of her singing in a lit hallway. After the first verse ends, she appears singing choruses in a blue room with fancy candlebras on the wall. There was a boy standing beside him, and the two seemed to ignore each other altogether. As the scenes continued in the dark crowd and the flaming alley, he turned to face the boy in the blue space scene. Then, the scenes appear Reid walking past the lines of people as he sings the second stanza. He then performs for crowds in old buildings such as warehouses. When the final choir finished, the scene showed that he was picked up by dark-skinned people. The song finished and the video faded as he walked out of the lit alley.
