Histori

The history of Central Crossing High School began with the Issue 7 issue on November 3, 1998. The issuance of $ 128 million worth of bonds, 7th Edition includes the construction of four new/fifth/sixth grade buildings, a new secondary school, a substitute building for Park Street Secondary Schools, for Hayes Engineering School, addition, renovation, demolition of district facilities, and obtaining land for school facilities. This problem passed with 17,003 votes in favor of bond issuance and 14,914 votes for bond issues.

The first stone laying for Central Crossing High School took place in 2000. The school officially opened its doors on August 28, 2002. Home to no seniors in its inaugural year, this school only accommodates 1005 students. However, registration jumped to 1,415 in the next school year after receiving another new class.

Failure of 2009 retribution

Due to the lack of funding derived from repeated failures to propose the proposed local taxes, all the extracurricular activities offered to the student body by the South-Western City School school became hiatus. On October 12, 2009, the District Education Council approved a measure allowing "Pay for Play" participation, where activities are open for enrollment by students who directly contribute to their funding, given that the taxes filed will eventually be approved by voters.

Athletics

The Central Crossing athletics team competes in the Ohio Capital Conference - Central Division. Central Crossing High School sponsors 20 sports (10 boys, 10 girls) competing in Division I.

Football

Since its inaugural school season, the football program has struggled to find long-term success. In 2002, the school went 0-10 and never reached more than 3 wins in a season. In addition, the school has three different head coaches in nine seasons. In 2014, Central Crossing experienced a much better season and participated in the high school playoff round for the first time. Trevor White, 41, was appointed coach at CCHS in January 2017. He trained at Beechcroft from March 2014 after Brookhaven's announcement was closed at the end of the school year. He guided Beechcroft to the third division of playoffs in 2015 and 2016 and into the postseason Division IV in 2014. Central Crossing finished 2-8 overall and 1-4 at OCC-Central in 2016 after getting Division I, Region 2 playoff berths earlier two years. It lost in the first half of the second season, falling to rivals Hilliard Davidson 17-9 in 2015 and Cincinnati St. Xavier 50-13 in 2014.

Results by year

Boys basket

Hohman had previously trained the women's education program 2010-2014. The Hohman coach was selected as First Division Assistant of the Year and Central District Coach of the Year for the 2011-2012 season in which he led the Varsity team to an 18-4 record.

Comets have never won a Central District tournament match.

Softball

Rivalry

The Central Crossing athletics team currently has intense geographic competition with Westland high schools in the district. The two schools are separated only 4.1 miles and have competed with each other regularly in every sport since both teams became members of the Ohio Conference Center Division of Ohio in the fall of 2008.

Comets also hold a grudge with their neighbors in the town of Grove City High School. Comet had their first football encounter with Grove City, beating Dawgs 28-21 led by Sophomore quarterback Kameron Peck at his first start as a university athlete. It is always a hot match between Comet and Dawgs, no matter what sport they meet.
